Football Cookie Recipes

Need more dessert ideas for football Sunday? We’ve got a few cookie recipes in our arsenal and we’re willing to share them with you. So break out the baking supplies and the Arctic Buzz because the only thing sweeter than your team’s victory is the taste of these cookies paired with boozy ice cream.

Everything Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup natural chunky or creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup (packed) light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet or bittersweet chocolate chips (12 ounces)
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup pretzels, broken into 1’–2′ pieces
  • Nonstick vegetable oil spray

Directions:

  • Whisk oats, flour, baking soda, spices, salt in a large bowl
  • With an electric mixer, beat (at medium speed) butter, peanut butter, and sugars in another large bowl
  • Add eggs and vanilla and beat until completely smooth
  • With mixer on low speed, gradually add dry ingredients and mix to combine
  • Stir in chocolate chips, raisins, walnuts, pretzels
  • Wrap dough in plastic and chill overnight
  • Preheat oven to 350°, grease baking sheets with nonstick spray
  • With a spoon, drop tablespoonfuls of dough about 2″ apart onto the sheet, bake for 15-17 minutes until golden brown
  • Let cool, place a scoop of Vanilla Arctic Buzz between two cookies and enjoy!

Touchdown Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 roll Pillsbury refrigerated sugar cookies
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Chocolate frosting
  • White decorating icing

Directions:

  • Heat oven to 350°
  • In a large bowl, break up the cookie dough, knead in flour until well blended and reshape into a log
  • Cut 32 1/4″ slices, with floured fingers, shape each dough slice to form a football shape
  • On an ungreased cookie sheet, place slices 2″ apart
  • Bake for 7-11 minutes or until golden brown, remove and cool for 15 min.
  • When cooled, spread chocolate frosting on each cookie and draw on laces with white decorating icing
  • If you’re making ice cream sandwiches with these (which you should do obviously), leave half of the cookies undecorated to use as the bottom of the sandwich

Super Bowl Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon light corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups peanut butter
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 4 cups oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 6 oz. plain M&Ms, in team colors

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350°
  • Mix all ingredients (except chocolate chips and M&Ms) in a food processor/mixer, stir in M&Ms and chocolate chips by hand after
  • Drop tablespoons of the dough on ungreased cookie sheet, add 4-6 M&Ms on top of each cookie
  • Bake for 12-15 min., cool for 5-10 min before removing from cookie sheet
  • Serve alone or as Arctic Buzz sandwiches, and enjoy!

The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup salted butter, softened
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 375° and line baking pan with parchment paper
  • In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder
  • In a separate bowl, cream together butter and both sugars until combined, then beat in eggs and vanilla until fluffy
  • Mix in the dry ingredients until combined
  • Add 12 oz. package of chocolate chips and mix well
  • Roll 2-3 tablespoons of dough into balls (or use a cookie scoop), and place them evenly on the baking pan
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, remove from oven when they just begin to turn brown and allow them to sit on baking pan for two minutes before placing them on a cooling rack
  • Serve (either alone or toss some Arctic Buzz between two cookies) and enjoy!

It doesn’t matter what team wins on game-day because you’ll be the real champion with these cookie recipes. (Ok, just kidding it totally matters, but so do your tastebuds).
